1. Chromium web browser had an artificial dependency on the sse3-support package.
Our LowMem edition is intended for old computers. As such, it was odd that the Chromium web browser package could only get configured in computers with relatively newer processors with the sse3 instruction set; we noticed that Chromium could run without issues without the sse3-support package anyway, so we removed that dependency.
You can download and install this fix with the escuelaslinux-7.6.1-32.tar.gz package, either from URL shown at the bottom.
2. Escuelas Linux 7.6 had no included support for old VIA graphic cards, making it impossible to install.
Now you can install it on many computer models with the old VIA GPU.
Be aware that support for the VIA GPUs is only available in our LowMem edition at this time. We plan to add that support to the standard Escuelas Linux 32-bit ISO when our next version is available.
With VIA GPU support, you can download the boot ISO for our LowMem edition, escuelaslinux-7-arranqueMinimo2-32.iso, from:

With these fixes, we deem our first Debian-based 32-bit release stable enough to be our new path to continue supporting older computers. Hence, we officially finished the 6.x series of Escuelas Linux, in which our last version was 6.20.
Escuelas Linux is now at release 7.6 for both the 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
