The Republic has Redundant Dependency on Code of Laws (S3_0, civ2civ3)
It makes a difference when tech tree holes are allowed, i.e., when one can get Literacy without knowing Code of Laws by stealing or by diplomatic treaty.
Makes sense. Close the ticket.
I also noticed it. It is the same in classic ruleset. Since civ2civ3 does not allow tech holes, it could be removed. I'll do it when/if I continue working on the ruleset again. There are some other patches in my ToDo list too.
chippo, your feedback about this ruleset is very useful. Please, post here (or in the forums) if you have other suggestions.
@bard: Ja, I have a lot of little "this would be fun, that would make more sense", which I'll write up and post in the forums - after your encouragement. I have one big gripe with the ruleset as it stands right now, which I'll raise as a ticket shortly and if folx disagree, we just close it.
Uploaded patch for civ2civ3 and sandbox rules where science holes are not allowed (by default).
The research page shows The Republic to have a direct and an indirect (via Literacy) dependency on Code of Laws. This might be the qt gui only. I don't presently have the others to test with.
