The server never really tries to re-establish connection to metaserver even when it's supposed to be in persistent mode.

The server in question was quite dead in general, so could be that the problem had nothing to do with persitent metaconnection.

The server in question was quite dead in general, so could be that the problem had nothing to do with persitent metaconnection.
