BatRen is an automatic file rename tool. The main
goal is to provide a simple way to batch rename
collections of files, such as photo collections.
It accepts prefixing and suffixing, a starting
index value, and counter padding formats. If the
output file already exists, the counter is
increased until an unused filename is found.

Files can now be specified on the command line, and basic filename expansion can be used when specifing files (such as *.jpg). More detailed information is given in verbose mode. A hard-coded program description was added for verbose mode. Filename expressions may now be omitted to use all the files in the current directory. When searching for an available filename, the first one found is no longer ignored.
