SADE is a derivative of Differential Evolution invented by K. Price and R. Storn; it is a genetic based optimisation method that uses differential operators. It is used for solving optimisation problems with a large number of unknowns.

mvManager is an Xlib only plugin manager for Linux, providing a system of panes for different kinds of plugins. The main idea is to create a highly configurable, and user friendly (with full keyboard control) set of applications with very low requirements. At this time plugins for file management and pop3 mail clients are available.

muLinux is a minimalistic, but mostly complete, script-based Linux distribution that fits on a single 1722k floppy. X11, GCC, VNC, and TCL addons are supported on additional floppies. It includes many basic system functions, such as PPP and Ethernet support, mail processing, NFS, Samba, FTP, IRC Finger, ipfw, etc.

Baynoon is an object database server that
understands and efficiently implements
relationships (one to one, one to many, and many
to many) between entities using a simple query
language. It is written in object-oriented C++ and
is intended to be portable.

jPortScanner is a Java port scan utility.

Gabadec is a .bag file decoder that can be used to
extract audio tracks from Westwood Studio's games,
such as "Emperor, Battle for Dune". All tracks are
originally packed in a single .bag file, and the
program extracts each track to a more convenient
MP3 file.

Timer Applet is a countdown timer applet for the
GNOME panel. You can quickly set a timer and be
notified when it finishes. The applet uses a
subtle animation and libnotify for notifications,
so it lets you continue working while keeping you
aware that the timer has finished. You can also
add multiple Timer Applets to the panel to have
different timers running simultaneously. Timer
Applet is small, unobtrusive, and follows the
GNOME Human Interface Guidelines.

XDM-External Greet is a patch to the stock XDM that allows it to use an external program to prompt the user for his username and password. This external program can use a variety of toolkits.. Also included is Gtkgreet, a program which uses the GTK toolkit to prompt for the username and password.

phpFiglet is a PHP class file that can be called
from your own programs to display dynamic text in
an unusual manner. It includes hundreds of fonts
and you can even make your own. It can be used for
displaying errors, printing messages to users,
drawing attention and whatever else you can think of.

gtkedit1 is a light and simple text editor based
on the GTK+ 1.x toolkit.

Jbot is an IRC client library and an example bot.

Over5 is a program for transferring between c64/vic20 machines and Amiga/PC/UNIX boxes. It supports serial transfer at 38400 bps using only a RS-232 level converter and a 3-line standard nullmodem cable. No special serialport chips are needed. Source code is included. It features read/write/execute memory, filecopy with wildcards, read/write raw disk, read/write ZIPCODE archive, the ability to use the Amiga/PC/UNIX box as a harddisk server ($0801-$f600), builtin diskturbo, and a fast basic bootstrap for most cbm 8-bitters.
