Um erro na execução Socket.Select que foi introduzido no 1.1.8 que não conseguiu trabalhar em escrever / descritores erro foi corrigido. A longa impasse no tempo de execução foi fixado. Este erro foi apenas visível com o uso de fio pesado no arranque em sistemas SMP, mas seria congelar certas aplicações (Beagle, iFolder, e outros). Suporte para NPTL como o padrão de segmentação do sistema foi introduzido, o que irá beneficiar os usuários do Gentoo e Fedora Core 4 .

A bug in Socket.Select implementation that was
introduced in 1.1.8 which failed to work on
write/error descriptors was fixed. A long-standing
deadlock in the runtime was fixed. This bug was
only visible with heavy thread usage at startup on
SMP systems, but it would freeze certain
applications (Beagle, iFolder, and others).
Support for NPTL as the default threading system
was added, which will benefit Gentoo and Fedora
Core 4 users.
