Projeto Descrição

Tor is a network of virtual tunnels that allows people and groups to improve their privacy and security on the Internet. It also enables software developers to create new communication tools with built-in privacy features. It provides the foundation for a range of applications that allow organizations and individuals to share information over public networks without compromising their privacy. Individuals can use it to keep remote Websites from tracking them and their family members. They can also use it to connect to resources such as news sites or instant messaging services that are blocked by their local Internet service providers (ISPs).

0.2.3.12-alpha

Tags: Unstable
This release lets fast exit relays scale better, allows clients to use bridges that run Tor 0.2.2.x, and resolves several big bugs when Tor is configured to use a pluggable transport like obfsproxy.

0.2.2.35

Tags: Major security fixes
This release fixes a critical heap overflow security issue in Tor's buffers code. Absolutely everybody should upgrade. The bug relied on an incorrect calculation when making data continuous in one of the IO buffers, if the first chunk of the buffer was
misaligned by just the wrong amount. The miscalculation would allow an attacker to overflow a piece of heap-allocated memory.

0.2.3.8-alpha

Tags: Unstable, Bugfixes
This release fixes some crash and assert bugs, including a
socketpair-related bug which has been bothering Windows users. It adds
support to serve microdescriptors to controllers, so Vidalia's network
map can resume listing relays (once Vidalia implements its side)
and adds better support for hardware AES acceleration. Finally, it
starts the process of adjusting the bandwidth cutoff for getting the
"Fast" flag from 20KB to (currently) 32KB. Preliminary results show
that tiny relays harm performance more than they help network capacity.

0.2.2.33

This release fixes several bugs and includes a slight tweak to Tor's
TLS handshake which makes relays and bridges which run this new version
reachable from Iran again.

0.2.3.3-alpha

Tags: Unstable, Testing
This release adds a new "stream isolation" feature to improve Tor's
security, and provides client-side support for the microdescriptor
and optimistic data features introduced earlier in the 0.2.3.x
series. It also includes numerous critical bugfixes in the (optional)
bufferevent-based networking backend.
