Hi,
I would like to change the encoding from shift-jis to UTF8. (in order to be able to keep japanese characters and avoid compatibility issues)
Does everyone agree with this ?

You can not use Wiki syntax

I agree. Actually I test using your getByteArray for Chinese GB2312 encoding and it works.

I agree too.
I think Shift_JIS has some nasty problem, and UTF8 is ideal encoding for international project like this.

Funny to read this after removing all japanese comments in my local version...

I was really amazed and excited when I tried the J2ME version on dr.hu's homepage. Incredible how far it developed already....
