I've used Xkeymacs for many years, and would like to use it at my new job
with a Windows 7 machine. It was working for some time, but recently it
stopped. I tried renaming or even deleting the following registry entry
as described in the FAQ (for when xkeymacs stops obeying 'Properties'),
without luck so far:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Oishi\XKeymacs2

I guess that most people today will either use a Mac, or use Linux, or if
they're on Windows they will use OS X or linux via a virtual machine.
These are attractive options, but I'd like to try to get Xkeymacs working.

Any suggestions for debugging this? I've tried several variations on the
registry tricks above, including rebooting, without luck so far.

thanks!
