Ticket details:
player_addr_hack() has been dropped from master, but it still exist in older branches with the function header that claims that some clients use it directly (that has not been true for a very long time). Correctness of function headers is more important in S3_1 than in older branches, as that's the first branch from which we maintain the doxygen documentation in freeciv.org server (generating the documentation has been supported for a long time, we've just not done it ourselves)
