I always play with the same nation and ruler name, when possible. Having to always set them when the game starts is annoying.

I'd like to see a client option allowing me to set a default nation and ruler name, or a list, such that the first available member of the list is automatically chosen, and the present selection mechanism is only used when no preference is set or none are available.

freeciv-3.1 'playernation' server command is going to help with that, though it's not a setting.
