A nova API ALSA PCM é usado, se estiver disponível. Baseando-AIX, OSF, e Darwin foi corrigido. O programa não tenta fechar o dispositivo de áudio, se não for aberto. Construir com a última versão do automake foi fixado, para a versão 1.4 do automake não é mais necessária. Um erro de digitação no manpage foi corrigido. Um acidente que ocorreu quando AUDIODEV não contém "/" foi corrigido.

The new ALSA PCM API is used, if it is available.
Building on AIX, OSF, and Darwin was fixed. The
program no longer tries to close the audio device
if it is not opened. Building with the latest
version of automake was fixed, so version 1.4 of
automake is no longer required. A typo in the
manpage was fixed. A crash which occurred when
AUDIODEV doesn't contain "/" was fixed.
IPv6 support, Cygwin, Mac OS X suporte CoreAudio, sempre lê o arquivo de configuração ESD (e não apenas quando a auto-desova), impede a queda-outs para hardware permitindo period_size baixa (ALSA), páginas de correções homem, tem a limpeza código principal, garante esd_open_audio sucedido se interrompido, permite a 0 como um auto-valor de espera, permite a execução simultânea e registro no Solaris, e adiciona suporte para nomes de sessão para esdcat.
IPv6 support, Cygwin support, Mac OS X CoreAudio support, always reads the esd config file (not just when auto-spawning), prevents drop-outs for hardware allowing low period_size (ALSA), fixes man pages, has major code cleanup, ensures esd_open_audio succeeds if interrupted, allows 0 as an auto-standby value, allows simultaneous play and record on Solaris, and adds support for session names to esdcat.
