nwbintools is a machine code tool-chain containing
an assembler and various related development
tools. It will thus be similar to GNU's binutils,
but no attempts are made to duplicate its
functionality, organization, or interfaces. The
assembler works on x86 ELF-based Linux and FreeBSD
systems.

This version contains a preliminary version of the assembler, which currently only supports x86 ELF-based Linux and FreeBSD systems. There are still lots of bugs and limitations which make it unsuitable as a general purpose tool. However, it already works well with most code generated by the nwcc C compiler.
