nxtvepg is a decoder and browser for Nextview, a subscription-free electronic TV program guide in the analog domain. Nextview EPG currently is broadcast in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, France, and Turkey, and it covers the schedules of all major TV networks in these countries. nxtvepg is an X11 application with a GUI based on Tcl/Tk and uses video4linux or BSD bktr drivers for data acquisition through a TV tuner card.

Vários erros na interface do driver para Linux foram corrigidos, o que já fez a aquisição falhar ao iniciar em determinadas instalações Linux. Several bugs in the Linux driver interface were fixed, which previously made acquisition fail to start on certain Linux installations. A bug in the Nextview EPG data stream decoder was fixed, which previously sometimes lead to display of corrupt or entirely blank network names. Various display bugs (related to changes for Tcl/Tk 8.5 compatibility) were fixed, such as incorrectly displayed "special" characters in the main window and configuration dialogs and even a crash upon program start with thread-enabled Tcl/Tk libraries.
