tovid is a suite of command line utilities (and a graphical frontend) for creating video discs in DVD, VCD, SVCD, and KVCD/KDVD formats (PAL or NTSC). tovid supports a wide variety of input video formats, and can encode to several different output resolutions. Discs may be authored with hierarchical menus for navigation and playback.

Este é o primeiro lançamento tovid em bem mais de dois anos. Traz inúmeras GUI e mudanças de linha de comando, bugfixes, e outras melhorias. Os scripts de linha de comando, manpages, e GUI foram unificados em um único script chamado "tovid".
This is the first tovid release in well over two years. It brings numerous GUI and command-line changes, bugfixes, and other improvements. The command-line scripts, manpages, and GUI have been unified into a single script called "tovid".
