TaoCrypt is a portable, fast, cryptographic library for most needs. Its features include one way hash functions: SHA-1, MD2, MD4, MD5, RIPEMD-160; message authentication codes: HMAC; block ciphers: DES, Triple-DES, AES, Blowfish, Twofish; stream ciphers: ARC4; public key cryptography: RSA, DSA, Diffie-Hellman; password based key derivation: PBKDF2 from PKCS #5; a pseudo random number generator and large integer support. There is also support for Base 16/64 encoding/decoding, DER encoding/decoding, and X.509 processing.

Privatix Live-System is a portable encrypted operating system designed to be run directly from a USB flash drive or an external hard drive. This allows the user to safely edit and carry along sensitive data for encrypted communication and anonymous Web surfing. It is based on Debian GNU/Linux.

PinePGP provides PGP and GnuPG filters for pine. PGP versions 2.6.x, 5.x, and 6.5.x are supported.

you are developing a commercial package using PHP,
the script can be distributed as encrypted up
until just before execution, preserving your
intellectual property.

MUTE File Sharing is an anonymous, decentralized search-and-download file sharing system. Several people have described MUTE as the "third generation file sharing network" (From Napster to Gnutella to MUTE, with each generation getting less centralized and more anonymous). MUTE uses algorithms inspired by ant behavior to route all messages, include file transfers, through a mesh network of neighbor connections.

vpnd is a daemon which connects two networks on network level either via TCP/IP or a (virtual) leased line attached to a serial interface. All data transfered between the two networks are encrypted using the unpatented free Blowfish encryption algorithm with a key length of up to 576 bits (may be downgraded to a minimum of 0 bits to suit any legal restrictions).

fsh is a tool for establishing an ssh tunnel for
remote execution of commands without requiring an
ssh authentication on every connection. Once the
tunnel is established, remote commands can be
executed almost instantaneously. This makes
systems such as remote cvs over ssh much faster.
It includes fcp, an rcp variant that uses fsh.

PortableSigner is a Java application to sign
normal PDF files with a
digital signature (X.509). You can verify your
signature by opening the
PDF file in a standard Adobe Reader without any
plugins.

UsbCryptFormat is a graphical user interface (GUI) for the encryption of USB flash drives or external hard drives. It allows the user to reformat a USB flash drive, an SD card, or an external hard drive with an encrypted filesystem very easily and without the danger of destroying data on an internal hard drive because of incautious handling of device names. So it is usable even for a layperson.

Mod_OpenPGP is an Apache module that serves as a
companion for Firefox's extension "Enigform".
Together, they enhance the HTTP protocol with
OpenPGP Session Management (Initiation,
Validation, Expiration, and Auto-Closing), Request
Signing and Verification.

PHPki is a Web application for managing a multi-agency PKI for HIPAA compliance. With it, you may create and centrally manage X.509 certificates for use with S/MIME enabled e-mail clients, SSL servers, and VPN applications.

Gaim-Encryption provides transparent RSA encryption as a
Gaim plugin using the Mozilla NSS libraries. Key sizes up to
4096 bits are supported. It works with Gaim on most
platforms, including Windows. Keys are automatically
generated, transmitted, and saved.

audio-entropyd feeds the /dev/random device with entropy data read from an audio device. The audio data is not copied as is, but first 'de-biased' and analyzed to determine how many bits of entropy are in it. This program is useful for systems doing many cryptographic tasks like VPN endpoints or GPG clients; it helps prevent the /dev/random device from being depleted and blocking reads.

xl2tpd a Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) daemon.
It supports IPsec SA reference tracking, which
enables the IPsec stacks to support multiple l2tp
clients behind the same NAT router and multiple
l2tp clients on the same internal IP address. It
is a fork of "l2tpd".

Libgcrypt is a general-purpose cryptographic
library based on the code from GnuPG. It provides
functions for all cryptographic building blocks:
symmetric ciphers (AES, DES, Blowfish, CAST5,
Twofish, and Arcfour), hash algorithms (MD4, MD5,
RIPE-MD160, SHA-1, and TIGER-192), MACs (HMAC for
all hash algorithms), public key algorithms (RSA,
ElGamal, and DSA), large integer functions, random
numbers, and a lot of supporting functions.
