ProteomeCommons.org IO Framework is a proper Java
framework for handling spectra and peak lists. The
framework can read and write to a number of
different spectra and peak list formats, and it
provides a simple, intuitive Java object model for
working with spectra or peak lists. All classes
support two methods of handling peak list and
spectrum data: in-memory or stream. The goal of
this framework is to support all the popular MS
and MSMS data formats, and to eliminate any time
or effort involved in figuring out how to read and
write peak list or spectrum files.

asqredir is a small, fast, and simple redirect plugin for the
squid webcache, written in C. It can be used for filtering out
advertisements from Web sites or preventing proxy users from
getting certain files by redirecting them to another URL. The
to-be-matched URL patterns are kept in a file and are read into
memory on startup. Because asqredir is based on URL pattern
matching, it can be used for many different kinds of blocking.

PHP Mobile Mail is aimed at mobile professionals
who want to use their favorite MUAs (noteably pine
or mutt) on their laptop, either in UNIX or Windows
(under GNU Gygwin). This lets you work offline. It
includes a mail_spooler program, which accepts the
output of you MUA and spools (on, or offline).
When connected, another process parses through
the spool and sends your messages. It is also
designed to "fake" using your REAL email address
with free services like gmx.net, or mail.yahoo.com,
when using their POP and SMTP servers, assuming
you have a domain and account that you can
control to this degree.

Brabosphere is a program for the 3D visualization of molecular systems
and their properties. Its name is derived from the quantum mechanical
program package BRABO, for which it acts as a graphical frontend. It can
also be used for the analysis and visualization of the data resulting
from this type of calculation, so results from some other quantum
mechanical applications will also be accepted.

SigLab is a calculator designed for working on signals. You can use it to load, save, or generate signals, and do various operations on and between signals (addition, log, abs, sin, filtering, convolution, fft, correlation, etc.). Signal parts are constantly displayed. SigLab was designed to be able to handle the results of simulations or measurements. It can handle signals with millions of points, keeping in memory a small piece of each signal. To keep good performance, it caches in memory signal portions. SigLab was specifically designed for Ptolemy users. It will start at the end of a simulation and show all asked signals.

cdcd is a CD player which is usable from the
command-line as well as from its own prompt. It
can manage track names, retrieve them from the
internet, do trackname completion, and more.

fsperms is a simple tool that allows permissions and ownership to be set to files or entire filesystems based on security templates. It is mostly useful for ensuring a sane state after source or package installations whose authors have different priorities or needs than yours.

Class::EHierarchy is intended for use as a base class for custom objects. The objects need one or more of the following features: orderly bottom-up destruction of objects, opaque objects, class-based access restrictions for properties and methods, primitive strict property type awareness, and alias-based object retrieval.

PDFassassin is a module for SpamAssassin that
allows for the scanning of PDF files in email
message attachments. Email bodies are scanned upon
connection and checked for PDF attachments. Text
is extracted from the PDF via pdftotext and
scanned by SpamAssassin. Should the PDF contain
images, the gocr program is called to extract the
text content. The total spam score of the PDF is
compared against the global required_score
setting; if it's higher, a score equal to the one
specified in pdf.cf is appended to the overall
score of the email message.

METAXPON ("Metachron" in Greek letters) is a small and fast audio DSP library for time-scale manipulation of 16-bit integer or 32-bit floating point stereo audio data streams. It employs a rigid phase-locked vocoder with dedicated transient detection and processing, and can work in real-time or non-real-time. Four editions are included - a portable edition and three x86 editions. The portable edition can be built with any ANSI C compiler and is OS- and architecture-independent. The three x86 editions are written in assembly using the FPU, 3DNow!, and SSE instruction sets, respectively, with automatic selection between them depending on the CPU capabilities. They can be compiled with MASM, JWASM, or NASM, producing libraries of object files in 8 formats.

libmsntp is a full-featured, compact, portable
SNTP library. libmsntp provides SNTP client and
server functionality in a shared library with a
simple API. SNTP (RFC 2030) is a simplified
version of NTP, which allows precise
synchronization of system clocks over a
best-effort network.

PoPy is a Python driver for PostgreSQL 7.0. It is DB API v2.0 compliant, and supports level-2 thread safety.

ICBM3D (Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles, 3D) is a 3D game of defense. Like the original "Missile Command" and its clones, this game places you in control of Anti-ICBM weapons which you use to destroy an onslaught of missiles (and other nasties) which are dropping onto your nation. The game ends when your cities have all been destroyed. You only gain replacement cities by acheiving certain score thresholds during each attack. The differences between Missile Command and ICBM3D is that ICBM3D, as the name suggests, provides a 3D perspective. You take advantage of X-Window's 3-button mouse to control your firing sight in 3-dimensions and change your viewpoint.

pam_cucipop is a patch that enables cucipop to use the PAM authentication mechanism. This is not part of the official cucipop release. It also includes a patch to fix an out by one segmentation fault problem.

Uni-XML is a project to replace standard Unix
configuration files with XML. It also includes
providing XML Schema files for the XML files, and
XSLT stylesheets to convert the XML files to the
configuration files.
