dvb-scripts is a set of scripts that form a very
basic video recorder for DVB material, handling
recording of multiple streams from the same
multiplex, and alerting you of clashes in proposed
recordings.

Cupid is a video recorder built with GStreamer. It
allows you to record V4L1 and V4L2 streams into
various formats and codecs.

pad sequential filenames so alphabetical order
matches numerical order. It automatically
determines the necessary integer field width, treats
filenames with different prefixes or suffixes
separately, removes redundant padding, and is
reasonably efficient, even for thousands of names.

Kalva is a KDE video recorder that is simple to
use and easy to setup. You can use it to schedule
a single movie recording by choosing the date from
a calendar. A serial recording may be scheduled by
choosing the days of the week. You can store
recording options in various profiles for
different hardware and quality levels. Kalva can
import channellists from programs like xawtv or
xawtv4, and can generate a new one using scantv.

JPen is a Java library for accessing pen/digitizer
tablets and pointing devices.

ARGUVISION is an enterprise class video
surveillance system. ARGUVISION is based on a
distributed Linux or Unix cluster architecture,
with up to 1000 cameras per single cluster with
aggregation capability and instant access to
recorded or live video.

homeTVstream is a collection of shell scripts and
a PHP-based Web page for watching TV on your LAN
computers. It is based on VLC, and encodes and
streams video using port 8080 in an MMS stream.
You can watch it with VLC by using the URL
mmsh://yourserverip:8080/, with any other
MMS-capable player by using the URL
mms://yourserverip:8080/, or just by opening the
TV page in your Web browser.

From your Windows Mobile device, RealtimeBlog
generates GSM and GPS GeoTag files and provides an
interface to manage the openBmap GeoTag Files
manager. It sends photos to your ISP account and
updates your Facebook mini-feed with a link to
these photos. It allows you to share your
geographical position from GPS or Cell id with
your friends.

SystVision is a real-time vision system used to
track points in an image and showing it on screen.
It has an easy user interface to configure the
camera and change the image options while running.

Gphoto2html is a simple GTK-based application
which generates a set of Web pages, complete with
thumbnails, from a set of digital or scanned photos.

The metric implemented in the Image::Density Perl
Module estimates the density of data where there
is data, and has a reasonable correlation with
goodness as judged by humans. That is, if you let
a human look at a set of images and judge quality,
the density values for those images as calculated
here tend to correlate well with the human
judgement (densities that are too high or too low
represent "bad'' images). It is intended for use
on bitonal TIFF images, such as those from
scanning paper documents.
