They're Coming to Get You Barbara is a screensaver inspired by the horror
movie, "Night of the Living Dead".

matrix_saver is a console screen saver for FreeBSD. It is
based on Chris Allegretta's "cmatrix" which, in turn, was
based on the "code" effect in the movie "The Matrix." The net
effect is a cross between a code listing and rain falling on
a window pane.

lock-keyboard-for-baby is a utility for those
times when a baby/toddler wants to bash away at
your keyboard. It grabs the keyboard until you
type a phrase (which hopefully the baby won't
type), but without blocking the screen like a
screensaver.

The BTFishes screen saver looks for nearby
Bluetooth devices (e.g. cell phones and other
computers), and summons a unique, colorful fish
for each device it finds. It will also display a
news feed of your choice.

rsaver is a simple X screensaver that only uses
Xlib. After a specified amount of time it will
start to draw radioactive signs. If a timeout is
not specified, the timeout value is obtained from
the X server.

ColdSpot is a simple screen locker for X. When
the mouse is left inside the transparent
ColdSpot window, a user-specified program is
kicked off to lock the screen. It is probably
simplest to use with focus follows mouse or
sloppy focus, although it should still work with
click-to-focus.

goban replays historic games of go (aka wei-chi and baduk). It works with xscreensaver, and Gnome. goban is based on cgoban by Bill Schubert.

Sunscape is a screen saver and locker for PocketPC
mobile devices. It is similar to the iPhone slide
to unlock feature, but targets the Windows Mobile
system. It provides an interface that displays
configurable information about the handheld
device. The graphics used are completely
replaceable, allowing users to build their
preferred custom interface. The main goals are to
keep Sunscape completely configurable to the user
as well as maintaining a very low memory
footprint.

Snow Path Formation Simulator is a program that models the process of people forming very distinct, and yet not always altogether logical looking, paths in the snow as they walk across open spaces. The evolving condition of the snow is displayed graphically. This project may eventually mature into a screensaver.
